Community Guidelines

A useful gaming conversation leaves room for different experiences and informed disagreement.

Keep the discussion about the subject

Share an observation, ask a specific question or explain why you interpret a game differently. A comment is more useful when it adds context rather than simply declaring another reader wrong. Criticism of a game, studio decision or article is welcome. Personal attacks, threats and harassment are not.

Protect people and respect creative work

Do not publish private contact details, account credentials or information that identifies another person unnecessarily. Do not impersonate a contributor, developer or another reader. Credit work that is not your own and avoid posting long extracts of copyrighted material. A link should help the discussion and accurately describe its destination.

Avoid spam, deception and unrelated promotion

Comments created mainly to distribute promotional links, repeat keywords or mislead readers may be removed. Commercial relationships should be disclosed where relevant. Do not present speculation as confirmed reporting or a modified image as an unaltered record. If you identify a factual problem, provide the source that supports the correction.

Be considerate about spoilers

Discuss major story revelations only where the article's context reasonably supports them. Give a clear warning before revealing a significant ending, character development or solution. A reader asking for beginner advice should not have to accept unrelated plot spoilers to receive it.

Moderation and corrections

Comments may wait for approval. Moderators may remove material that violates these rules or close a discussion that cannot remain useful. A rejected comment does not automatically invalidate the criticism it contains; the issue may be how it was expressed or what private information it included. Contact the editorial desk for a factual correction or a moderation question requiring private context.
